Fur Samples

Settei

The fur samples still haven't arrived so I've decided to dye fur rather than order it from the US, as I would not receive the full order before I have to leave for University.

I have collected settei for Raikou as better reference for my fursuit.

Starting the Head

I started off the head with a foam loop and then a strip of foam over the top so it fitted securely. I cut grooves for my eyes.

I then started work on the white strips around Raikou's head. I will bulk these out later so they're at the right thickness.
Finally I made the basic shape for the metal plate. I need to thin this out and finish the shape in more detail before glueing it to the head.

Also, I have ordered fur samples from a US website as I can't find any good quality yellow/purple fur in town or on UK websites. If it is no good I shall resort to dyeing white fur.

Sketch

I started off my fursuit with little more than ideas. I roughed out a quick sketch of what I thought the fursuit would look like after completion to give me an idea of what materials I needed to buy.

I need to purchase:

• Foam
• Glue sticks
• Yellow fur
• Purple fur
• Yellow zip

Everything else I already have leftover from other projects.
